How does it work? An inclined roller guides the belt according to the "bicycle handle-bar principle". With the HOSCH Tracker Roller the belt is always automatically guided into its central position. |

How is this achieved? The HOSCH Tracker Roller is centrally mounted on a fixed axis and pivots around a trunnion axis of 45 degrees. If the belt weight is lying centrally on the roller, the belt is tracked correctly, i.e. the roller remains in its central position acting as a normal return roller. |

If the belt deviates to the left side, the roller automatically tips to the left due to the weight of the belt being transferred from it's central position to the left side of the roller. Thus the roller switches into an inclined position to the belt (top left view), so that the belt is guided back to the central position, i.e. to the centre line of the belt (bicycle handle-bar principle). Conversely, if the belt deviates to the right side, the roller pivots to the right side and the belt is again guided back to its central position. |
